Young's Double Chocolate Stout

Another chocolate beer review, for another fine beverage. Young's Double Chocolate Stout is excellent in so many ways. Like other chocolate beer batches, I ordered a dozen bottles of this brew over the internet. With my pint glass on the table, I popped off the bottle top, and poured in right on in. The beer body is very dark and thick. It's very much like Guinness stout, in that no light shines through it. The head was about 1 finger thick tan brown, with a nice long lasting lacing. Next up, the fine aroma. I brought my full pint to my nose, and took it in. The smell to me was overwhelmingly chocolate, like pure cocoa powder. I thought I also detected malts, almonds, and a faint twist of vanilla, though I can't be positive. Now for the taste, I took in my first pull, and it was wonderful. It's not extremely sweet, but has a very strong chocolate flavor. The beer is thick and creamy as it goes down. Overall experience, the best semi sweet chocolate beer out there, and perfect for those of you who don't like your beer and dessert served two in one. I will definitely buy this beer again, and highly recommend it to anyone.
