Redoak Belgium Chocolate Stout

I just got around to finally testing out Redoak Belgium Chocolate Stout. I ordered a 12 pack online from an Australian beer store, and I have to say by the time it arrived on my doorstep, I had spent a small fortune. So this was sort of a  high stakes chocolate beer tasting ceremony, and my expectations for quality were high from the get go. I let the beer cool before I open one. With my holy beer mug on the dining room table, I popped the top, and pour in the full 250ml  bottle. The beer body was dark as any stout should be, with a 1 finger head and some fine lacing. I brought the beer to my nose to get a feel of the aroma, and I picked up some fine treats of fine handmade Belgian chocolates, roasted  malt, roasted oats, and possibly some fruity undertones. So far so good I thought. Now for the taste test, I took a large pull from the glass. The beer is full bodied and sharp, yet light on the tongue like silk. In fact I was surprised  by the smoothness of it. The taste was semi sweet, with a bitter kick of chocolate and roasted malt. The alcohol was barely noticeable, though with only a 5% content ratio, I wasn't that surprised. Overall thoughts, not bad at all, though  I think women may fall for it's smoothness and low alcohol content, I'm kind of a guy that prefers that thick chocolate stout, with some punch to it, sort a chocolate stout meal in a bottle you could say. This chocolate beer doesn't  qualify for that, but it's good none the less.
