Oscar's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout

Oscar's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout is as fine an example of a chocolate stout as they come. My brother sent me a bottle of this stuff, and it was great. I popped the top, and poured it into my frozen beer mug. The chocolate stout's body is black like motor oil, just the way any real stout should be. The head was a sandalwood color, and lasted over three minutes. The lace was there as well. So, here I am staring this beer in the face, and I like what I see, it's got all the characteristics I look for in a meal replacement stout. I brought the brew to my nose to catch a whiff of the aroma. The chocolate smell is there as it should be, complimented with overtones of maple syrup, cappuccino, cookies, and baking spices, all very satisfying. Now for the taste, wow, dark semisweet chocolate, toasted oats obviously, maybe some peanuts, and a little coffee. Awesome brew I do say. The beer has a medium body in your mouth, and goes smooth on the back of toasted oatmeal. The aftertaste was great, just like bitter sweet chocolate and coffee. Darn good chocolate stout, I will buy this stuff again if I can find a bottle. It's definitely your off the beaten path chocolate beer, and it will be difficult to purchase. Sand Creek Brewing Company in Wisconsin created this beautiful beer, so I tip my beer mug to them, and congratulate them on creating another fine beer to add to their lineup.
