Frederick Miller's Classic Chocolate Lager

Just got my bottle of Frederick Miller's Classic Chocolate Lager today. Not bad not bad, I do dare say. Whipped out my well used pint glass, crack the bottle cap off, and poured myself a full healthy looking pint of this brew. The color was dark brown like coffee, with an almost orange amber hue, though that could have been the lighting. A one thumb thick head stuck around for about three minutes, it was the same brown color as the body, but a bit lighter. This chocolate beer has a high carbonation content, so it keeps a nice foamy lacing around the glass, and right down to the bottom. With regard to the lagers aroma, I smelt obviously chocolate first and foremost, almost like Hershey's. Next I could detect faint tints of vanilla and almonds, which was very refreshing by the way. Now for the taste test. I took a little swig, and wow, very very rich and full in chocolate, this beer take's it role seriously. It was very sweet, but again I love milk chocolate, so the more sugar the better. The vanilla aroma I detected early, carries a taste note in the blend as well, delicious. My overall impression, I loved it, right down to the very last sip. Those of you who don't like extremely sweet beers, will not like this one. As an side note, there is something about this brew that would be worth exploring as accessory to some other drinking festivities. Perhaps a Chocolate Beer depth charger, 2/3 pint of Frederick Miller's Classic Chocolate Lager, with a tall shot of Baileys Irish Cream dropped in. You would be set on sugar for a month after one of these, but man would it taste great. In fact I'm off to try it now, I will post the impression tomorrow. Cheers folks.
