Floris Chocolate Beer

Though chocolate beer in itself is already kind of off the beaten path, Floris Chocolate Beer is what you could rightfully call the edge of the chocolate beer world. I bought a couple bottles of this fine beverage of the internet, and  again it was semi expensive due to the shipping costs involved. So once cooled in my garage based beer refrigerator, I pooped the top, and poured it into my favorite pint glass. The color was intriguing, I don't recall ever seeing a beer  this color. It's like real rum mixed with milk, which looks dark copper in color, with a creamy brown hue. There was virtually no head or lacing at all, though it had some good carbonation. The aroma was strong in chocolate, with fruit  bringing up the rear. Next up, the taste. Strong in chocolate flavor, fruit and almonds definitely there too. A bit like some hardcore chocolate milk if you ask me, and with an alcohol content of 3.5%, they might as well call is chocolate  milk. Overall experience, I actually liked it. I guess I'm kind of quirky, but it was pretty good just because I found it so radically different than anything else I've tasted in a beer, or chocolate beer for that matter. My wife not surprisingly liked it, though I'm not sure if we will order it again, just due to the costs involved.
